He is God, and He loves you.
Jesus said He was God. He proved it by His life, His words, His deeds, and His love. “But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)” (Ephesians 2:4–5). “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” (John 3:16-18).
He died and rose again to pay for your sins.
Our sin separates us from God and requires the payment of death. Romans 3:23 says, ” For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; The payment for that sin requires death. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23. Because Jesus died for you, you don’t have to pay for your own sins! “Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day…” (1 Corinthians 15:3–4). “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). 1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: You must admit you are a sinner in need of a Savior, and believe by faith that Jesus died in your place.
He desires to come into your life and save you.
Here’s how Jesus said it: “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life…” (John 3:36). “He that believeth on me hath everlasting life” (John 6:47). “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live” (John 11:25). In John 14:6, Jesus said, “…I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” There is only one way to have your sin forgiven; by the shed blood of Jesus Christ. We receive Him by repenting of our sin, and trusting His sacrifice for sins by faith.
Going to Heaven isn’t about being good or religious. It’s about trusting Christ alone. Call out to Him, ask Him to come into your life, save you from sin, and give you His gift of eternal life. It’s the best decision you will ever make. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13).
