What to Expect at LBT

What should I expect on my first visit?

If you are visiting us for the first time, expect to find a warm welcome!  We love having visitors in our church and hope that you will feel right at home, even though you may be just getting to know us!

What are your services like?

Services at LBT are designed to help us prepare our hearts to receive instruction from the Word of God.  Our music is traditional, but not stuffy.  We believe that the Bible gives clear instruction that we are to worship the Lord with “psalms, and hymns, and spiritual songs”.  You may even learn a song from the book of Psalms while you are here!  Pastor Koehler preaches expository messages from the Word of God that will help you understand and apply truth to your daily life. Our services last for about an hour, except on special occasions, and we would love for you to participate in the congregational singing and join us in praise to God for His mercy, love and grace.

What should I wear to church?

There is no requirement or dress standard to attend LBT.

During the Church Service…

During the service you will be invited to participate by singing with the congregation.  During the offering, we do NOT expect you to give anything!  This is a time for our members and regular attenders to worship the Lord through giving.  Please do not feel like this is your responsibility!  Our regular folks delight in supporting our ministries through giving.  We have a nursery for children under 3, Junior church for children up to the 6th grade (Sunday mornings), and a “cry room” for mothers and newborn babies in the back of the auditorium.  Please feel free to keep your children with you in the service!  if you would like them to participate in one of our other classes please ask one of our ushers and they will show you where they meet.  There are hearing assistance devices available for those who need them available at the sound booth.

How can I enter into a personal relationship with God?

Loudonville Baptist Temple exists for this very purpose!  We believe God has planted us in this community to help everyone who wants to know about Jesus to understand and know Him personally.  Please visit our Why Jesus page or ask one of our Pastors after a service about what it means to have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.  At the end of every service we have a time of invitation.  This time is specifically designed for those who want to respond to the leading of the Holy Spirit.  You may use this time to talk with one of our workers or pastors.  If you would like to talk with someone after the service, just let us know!

We would love to meet you!

We look forward to seeing you soon and encouraging you in your walk with the Lord.  If you have any questions please contact us!
