What We Believe

THE BIBLE
We accept fully the scriptures as the final authority in all matters of life, faith and practice. We believe the whole Bible from Genesis 1:1 through Revelation 22:21 as the verbally inspired and infallible Word of God.
We believe also that God has preserved His Word to the English speaking people in the King James Version, first published in the year 1611. Because of that act of preservation, we possess in our language the inerrant, infallible Word of God. This 1611 King James Version shall be the only Bible that we as a church will use for all worship and teaching

GOD
We believe there is only one true and living God, who is infinite and holy, the Maker and Supreme Ruler of Heaven and earth and worthy of all confidence and love. We believe that in the unity of the Godhead there are three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (I Corinthians 8:6; I John 5:7).

JESUS
We believe that Jesus Christ is God's only begotten Son conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, sinless in His life, making atonement for the sin of all who     believe, by His death on the cross. We believe in His bodily resurrection, His ascension into Heaven, His high priestly intercession and premillenial return to the world according to His promise. We therefore give Him the pre-eminence as our Divine Lord and Master (John 1:1-2; John 5:20; Matthew 1:20).

THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a Divine Person working harmoniously with the Father and the Son in salvation and in all the purposes of God. It is He that reproves the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment; He regenerates, sanctifies, and comforts those who believe in Jesus Christ (II Corinthians 13:14; John 14: 16-17; John 16: 7-11).

SATAN
We believe the Devil is a wicked personality, the author of sin, the greatest enemy of God and mankind, and we believe the "lake of fire and brimstone": will be his final doom (II Corinthians 4:4; Revelation 20:10).

MAN
We believe man was created by the direct act of God, in innocence, and in the image of God. Man fell from that state by voluntarily transgressing the revealed will of God, and therefore is under just condemnation to eternal death (Genesis 3; Romans 5:10-19).

SALVATION
We believe man has no merit or power to save himself from condemnation of sin. Salvation is by the grace of God through faith in His Son Jesus Christ who on the cross paid the price of man's redemption (Acts 16:31; Ephesians 2:8,9; Titus 3:5-7; Romans 10:9-13).

SECURITY
We believe that it is impossible for a born again child of God to be lost (John 10: 28-29; Philippians 1:6; Jude 24; II Timothy 2:19; Romans 8:35-39).

THE CHURCH
We believe a local New Testament church is an organized body of baptized believers equal in rank and privilege and brought together by common faith in Christ as Savior. The church's scriptural officers are the Pastors and Deacons; whose purpose is to carry out the commission to preach the Gospel and teach believers; to take the Bible as the only rule of faith and practice; to exercise the right of independent self-government. We believe that a New Testament Church is only a local, visible company of believers (called out ones) in Jesus Christ  (Matthew 16:18; Acts 1:8; I Timothy 3: 1-15).

BAPTISM
We believe Scriptural water baptism is the immersion in water of a saved person,   baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit by the authority of a New Testament Church. Scriptural baptism shows forth, in a solemn emblem, our death to sin and resurrection to a  new life. It is a pre-requisite to church membership (Acts 8:36-39; Romans 6:3-5; Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:41).

THE LORD'S SUPPER
We believe that the Lord's Supper is a memorial of the Lord's death, the bread symbolizing His broken body and the fruit of the vine symbolizing His blood. It is to be done "in remembrance of me" (Luke 22:19). "For as often as ye eat this bread and drink this cup, ye do show the Lord's death till He come" (I Corinthians 11:26). The Lord's Supper is to be observed only by the Church to commemorate together the atoning love of Christ

JUDGEMENT
We believe that Jesus Christ will personally, literally return in the air to gather all    born-again believers unto Himself and to judge them for rewards. He will then return to earth with the Saints to establish His throne in Jerusalem and reign on earth for one thousand years. After the thousand years are finished, He will sit on the "Great White Throne" to judge all unbelievers and will cast them into the " Lake of Fire and Brimstone", where they will be punished forever and ever (I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 20: 11-15).

RESURRECTION
We believe in the resurrection of the bodies of the dead, that born-again believers who sleep in Jesus will be raised at the coming of the Lord for His Church and will be caught up with the transformed living saints to meet the Lord in the air, and that the wicked dead will be raised at the close of the Millennial Kingdom and will stand in their bodies at the Great White Throne Judgment to receive their final doom (John 5:20-30; I Thessalonians 4:16; Revelation 20:11-15).

CHURCH AND STATE
We believe in the absolute separation of Church and State and that each individual has the right to choose his own religion without coercement by any.
